“We will put your fat ass in prison” is certainly one way to send a strong message, which is exactly what Trump ally, Mike Davis was aiming for. On the Benny Johnson Show this morning, Davis sent a message to NY AG Letitia James to back off the president-elect.
It’s no secret New York Attorney General Letitia James is not a fan of President Elect Donald Trump, filing a civil lawsuit alleging major financial misconduct. Her office also assisted in a criminal case brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg against the Trump Organization, which resulted in a guilty verdict in December 2022.
This morning on the Benny Johnson Podcast, Trump’s lawyer, Mike Davis, made sure his message the NY AG was loud and clear.
Mike Davis quotes on the show "I dare you to try to continue your lawfare against President Trump... listen here, sweetheart, we're not messing around this time and we will put your fatass in prison for conspiracy against rights."
Davis has been rumored to be a potential pick for attorney general or White House counsel in Trumps upcoming administration.
“The founder or president of the Article III Project, this guy is tough as hell,” Trump said during a campaign rally in Aurora, Colorado. “We want him in a very high capacity.”
Everyone in the GOP camp seems to love the lawyer, garnering praise from not only Trump but many Trump supportes, donors and Republican senators.
In a profile piece from Politico, GOP fundraiser Caroline Wren stated that Trump is a fan of Davis and that Republican donors "salivate" over his regular appearances on Steve Bannon's War Room podcast. Wren also told Politico, “If he isn’t the attorney general, he’s going to play some sort of role.”
Donald Trump Jr. also explained to Politico how Davis was "exactly the type of fighter" he wants to be involved in trumps Second administration.
Davis has taken to social media to say he would help the president-elect “appoint even more bold and fearless judges” in his second term.
